Fatehabad, June 26: Under 'Operation Jeevan Jyoti,' the district police are actively continuing their de-addiction campaign, which focuses on linking addicts to treatment, providing regular counseling, and raising awareness among the youth about the harmful effects of substance abuse. 
As part of this initiative, and under the able leadership of Sub-Inspector Sundar (In-charge, Fatehabad De-addiction Team), six individuals struggling with addiction—four from Burj village and two from Ratia—were identified and counseled. Following the counseling sessions, they were provided with Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines. Additionally, another addict was admitted to CHC Ratia for treatment. Patients already undergoing treatment were also visited and counseled; they were encouraged to continue their treatment regularly and stay away from drugs. 
Furthermore, an awareness seminar held at the VIC Coaching Center in Ratia educated students about the adverse effects of drug abuse, the resulting social and familial harm, and preventive measures. Students were urged to abstain from drugs themselves and to raise awareness among others. 
Meanwhile, under the Tohana division's de-addiction drive and the able leadership of Assistant Sub-Inspector Sajjan Kumar, addicts undergoing treatment at the Government Hospital, Tohana, were visited and counseled. Discussions were held with doctors to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment process. Under this campaign, treatment was initiated for 10 addicts, and two new patients were admitted to the hospital. Additionally, at an awareness program held at Patanjali Vidyapeeth, Tohana, approximately 200 students were informed about the harmful effects of drugs and encouraged to adopt a healthy, safe, and drug-free lifestyle. 
The district police have appealed to the public to encourage anyone in their vicinity struggling with addiction to seek treatment and rehabilitation, thereby helping to realize the goal of a drug-free society.
