Patiala:- Every year on March 1, International Civil Defence Awareness Day is observed in the world, so people, youth and employees should be encouraged to protect themselves and the victims in times of disasters, accidents, sudden incidents and to provide proper first aid and CPR. Punjab State Industry Safety Council, Labour Department and Deputy Director of Factory organized a two-day training camp at Rallson Factory to provide training in industry, transport, household safety, first aid, CPR, fire safety, transport safety to 100 employees of 10 factories.
Where information was provided by various subject experts. Punjab Disaster Management, First Aid Trainer Shri Kaka Ram Verma while conducting the training exercise said that to save the victims rescued from natural and human disasters, wars, fires, gas leaks, electric shock circuits, heart attacks, cardiac arrest, fainting, internal bleeding, head injuries, blood pressure, low blood sugar, spinal cord and limb fractures, rabies, electric current, gases, smoke, water, ABCD, recovery position, ventilator artificial respiration, CPR etc., preparing stretchers with sheets on the spot, use of helpline numbers etc.
He requested that training, practice and mock drills should be conducted by forming 10 types of teams to save lives from terrible disasters, because during major disasters, wars, local administration, hospitals, police etc. make efforts to save the lives of the victims, but it is very important to be prepared by forming teams to save the victims and help the administration. 
While expressing gratitude on behalf of the administrators and trainees, he said that disaster management, civil defense, first aid, CPR, fire safety, first aid to save lives during emergencies is very useful for saving lives and is proving to be helpful like Sanjeevani herb for the victims, because more than 80% of the deaths of the victims are due to not getting proper first aid on the spot, doctors also treat only living people.
