Patiala, September 16:- Around the world, millions of volunteers trained in first aid, CPR, fire safety, disaster management and civil defence are saving precious lives during emergencies because, during crises, accidents and mishaps, valuable lives and property can be saved by providing proper first aid to victims at the spot within the first 10 minutes, rescuing and transporting victims during fires involving gases, electricity and petroleum products and smoke, and by extinguishing fires.
These views were expressed by Mata Kaushalya Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Vikas Goel and the CMO while presenting certificates of appreciation to the trained students and encouraging them to assist victims and perform their duties with honesty and loyalty. They also expressed their thanks to the school principal, Mrs. Surinder Pal Kaur, and Chief Trainer of the First Aid Safety Health Awareness Mission, Shri Kaka Ram Verma.
The final-year students who received the training expressed their gratitude and said that at this school they had received more love, respect, encouragement and knowledge-based training than from their parents.
They said they would make efforts to create awareness among patients and the general public about good health, well-being, wellness, safety, prevention, assistance, community, tolerance, humility, patience and peace.
