Karnal, September 06, 2026: Haryana Assembly Speaker and Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan called upon blood donors, stating that blood donation is the greatest donation, as two drops of donated blood can save a needy person's life in times of crisis. He urged donors to continue moving forward with patriotism and social service for human welfare. Amar Shaheed Lala Jagat Narain Ji chose the path of patriotism, faced immense challenges without fear, and today the entire nation bows to him. He emphasized adopting his ideals to instill good values in future generations, praised participating social organizations, and urged everyone to contribute to PM Narendra Modi's vision of 'Viksit Bharat-2047'. He was speaking as the chief guest at a blood donation camp organized on Sunday at Golden Moment, Sector-12, Karnal, on Lala Jagat Narain Ji's death anniversary.
On this occasion, Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, MLA Jagmohan Anand, Vice Chancellor of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University Prof. S.K. Malhotra, Mayor Renu Bala Gupta, Sarpanch Association Karnal District President Chaudhary Ratan Singh, officials of all social organizations and political parties paid floral tributes at the portrait of Lala Jagat Narain Ji. They honored blood donors with badges, certificates, and medals. A team from the Blood Bank of District Civil Hospital (Haryana Health Department) served at the camp. Organized in memory of the great freedom fighter who penned the story of independence and sacrificed his life for national integrity, blood donors paid rich tributes, displaying the message that martyrdom never dies but flows as blood in our veins. Every drop echoed that Lalaji is immortal and his vision lives on.
Harvinder Kalyan stated that blood donation keeps the dreams of martyrs alive. Whenever martyrdom for patriotism is discussed, Lala Jagat Narain Ji's name stands at the forefront of freedom fighters. Honoring him on his death anniversary, this newspaper group organizes blood donation camps every year as a noble deed. Kalyan shared that he has been reading newspapers since childhood and finds social motivation in the donors' column.
MLA Jagmohan Anand said that during the dark era of terrorism, Lala Jagat Narain Ji's pen never stopped. This newspaper group achieved great height through fearless and independent journalism. During the Emergency, printing presses were kept running using tractor-powered generators to publish newspapers and boldly oppose terrorism. Honoring the sacrifices made by this family, today's youth are performing noble deeds through blood donation.
