Haroli/Una, July 6 (Rajveer Chopra): The 'MP Mobile Health Service'—operated under the guidance of former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur and with the support of the Prayas Society—is providing free health services in the rural areas of Haroli while simultaneously raising health awareness among the public.
As part of this initiative, a free health camp was organized in Gram Panchayat Bathu. During the camp, 67 patients underwent health check-ups, and 35 individuals received free laboratory tests. Patients were provided with medical consultations, essential medicines, and important health-related information.
During the camp, the health team provided detailed information on preventive measures against diseases common during the monsoon season. Villagers were advised to drink clean and boiled water, keep food covered, wash their hands regularly, prevent water stagnation around their homes, wear full-sleeved clothing to protect against mosquitoes, and maintain cleanliness. They were also encouraged to seek immediate medical advice if symptoms of fever, diarrhea, cough, or any other infection appeared.
ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers played a pivotal role in the successful organization of the camp. The healthcare team included Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Ruchi, Nihal Singh, and Manish. The team examined the patients and provided them with necessary treatment and consultation.
Appreciating the MP Mobile Health Service, local villagers remarked that this initiative is becoming an effective medium for providing free, high-quality healthcare services near their homes while also fostering health awareness in rural areas.
