Hansi: The villagers of Mehnda village gave MLA Vinod Bhayana a grand welcome for his extensive drainage arrangements and excellent support to the village's development during this year's heavy rains. The villagers greeted the MLA with laddus made of pure ghee and distributed them throughout the village.
Virendra Sharma, the village sarpanch, explained that due to this year's heavy rains, the village and fields were flooded with water up to 5 to 6 feet deep, causing severe hardship for the entire village. In such a challenging situation, MLA Vinod Bhayana worked day and night to resolve the village's problems on priority. Every demand from the villagers was immediately addressed. The MLA visited the village day and night to personally assess the situation.
The sarpanch explained that the drainage could have taken six months, but due to the MLA's efforts, all the water was drained in just one month. Several pump sets, motors, and temporary drains were constructed for drainage. Additionally, the MLA brought Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to the village, who announced ?21 lakh for the drainage system.
Addressing the villagers, MLA Vinod Bhayana said, "Mehanda is my own village, and the blessings of its people have always been with me. No effort will be spared in the village's development, and every demand of the villagers will be met on a priority basis. Feel free to ask for any work; it will be completed as soon as possible." He also directed the speedy completion of ongoing projects and the initiation of new development projects in the village.
The felicitation ceremony was organized with collective support. Former Sarpanch Dariya Singh Jangra honored the MLA on behalf of the entire village by placing a turban on him.
