New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that the year 2025 has been a year of proud achievements for India. He made a special mention of 'Operation Sindhur' and said that it has become a symbol of pride for every Indian and it has shown the world that the country does not compromise on its security.
In his last 'Mann Ki Baat' address of the year 2025, Modi said that during the past year, India's impact was seen everywhere, be it national security, sports, scientific innovations or big stages of the world. He said that during Operation Sindhur, carried out against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22 (in which 26 people were killed), images of love and devotion towards 'Maa Bharti' emerged from every corner of the country.
The Prime Minister also mentioned the 150th anniversary of the national anthem 'Vande Mataram', the men's cricket team winning the ICC Champions Trophy and the women's team winning the World Cup for the first time, as well as the historic victory in the Blind Women's T20 World Cup.
In the field of science, he praised Subhanshu Shukla becoming the first Indian to reach the International Space Station and the number of leopards in the country crossing 30. As cultural milestones, he mentioned the Prayagraj Mahakumbh and the 'Dhavjarohan' ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
He said that the increased enthusiasm for 'Swadeshi' and the youthful energy have increased India's self-confidence and now the country is ready to enter the year 2026 with new hopes and resolve while facing the challenges of natural disasters.
