Ratia, July 15:- Carrying forward its continuous tradition of social service, the Lions Club Ratiya City organized a blood group testing camp for students today at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in village Khai.
Club President Lion Gopal Chand Kularian stated that the Lions Club Ratiya City has been serving the needy in various sectors of society for the past 28 years. He explained that the main objective of this camp was to determine the blood groups of the students and prepare their identity cards so that necessary medical assistance could be provided immediately in any future emergency. He added that in rural areas, many girls are married at an early age, and knowing one's blood group proves extremely helpful during maternity and medical treatment.
School Principal Abneesh Garg, while sharing details about the school's operations, mentioned that free education, food, and hostel facilities are provided to extremely poor, destitute, and orphaned girls. He said that the hostel warden takes care of the students like a mother, providing them with timely meals, education, and a disciplined environment.
Club Secretary Lion Sukhcharan Das Arora expressed his happiness at the school's management but also shared his sorrow upon learning that some parents were unable to fulfill their responsibilities toward the upbringing and education of their daughters. He announced that he would personally gift shoes to all the students of the school in the month of November.
Club President Lion Gopal Chand Kularian also announced that the Lions Club Ratiya City would distribute jerseys along with shoes to all the students.
On this occasion, Lion PMJF Vipan Bansal announced financial assistance of ?5,000 for the school. He also informed that the blood groups of 140 students were tested today.
Upon arriving at the school premises, Principal Abneesh Garg, Warden Mahesh, Dr. Naib Singh Mander, and the entire school family welcomed the Lions members with bouquets. The program was conducted by Dr. Naib Singh Mander, who praised the various social activities of the Lions Club Ratiya City and expressed hope that the club would continue to support the school in the future. The Principal and staff honored Project Chairmen Lion Harish Kumar and Lion Naresh Kumar with appreciation certificates and also presented a certificate of appreciation to the club.
Present on the occasion were Club President Lion Gopal Chand Kularian, Secretary Lion Sukhcharan Das Arora, Treasurer PMJF Lion Vipan Bansal, Region Chairman MJF Lion Pradeep Bansal, Project Chairman Lion Harish Kumar, Project Chairman Lion Naresh Kumar, Lion Dr. Som Chand Goyal, and Dr. Janak Raj Goyal (Bhishma Pitamah of Bharat Vikas Parishad), along with the entire school staff. Karan Laboratory, Tohana Road, Ratiya provided their services for this camp.
