Patiala:- To make the world safe, healthy, prosperous, and progressive, everyone should strive like Sir Baden Powell to awaken the qualities of good people in the hearts, minds, emotions, and thoughts of students. Baden Powell, who retired as a Lieutenant General from the British Army, started Scout Guide activities in 1908 with the support of the Queen of England, which are being run in schools in India and the world.
On the occasion of World Thinking Day, on the 180th birth anniversary of Shri Baden Powell Ji, Principal of Veer Haqiqat Rai Model Senior Secondary School Patiala, Mrs. Sarla Bhatnagar, while praising the works of Lieutenant General Sir Baden Powell Ji, requested retired scholars, experienced employees and soldiers to make efforts to connect children and youth with humanity, love, compassion, patience, peace, humility, tolerance, discipline, because children are going astray due to ignorance.
Shri Kaka Ram Verma, Retired Training Officer Red Cross said that similarly, the auspicious beginning of Red Cross, First Aid activities to save the lives of soldiers and civilians during wars, epidemics, natural and human disasters in the world was started due to the blessings of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the efforts of Bhai Ghanaiya Ji and Nobel Prize winner Shri Jean Henry Duna Ji from Switzerland.
ASI Ram Saran of Traffic Education Cell said that educational institutions should organize programs to prevent accidents, diseases, conflicts, crimes through awareness. The NCC and Scout Guide teachers of the school Mrs. Sachna Sharma, NSS Program Officer Ravinder Kaur and Coordinator Naresh Kumari thanked them and said that awareness missions are being run with the support of experienced scholars and parents to connect their students with better education as well as humanitarian activities.
