Karnal, October 31: It is said that doctors are like God. When a person loses hope, a doctor's efforts can give him life again. This is precisely what Dr. Sardar Hardeep Singh, a renowned orthopedic surgeon from Karnal, did, successfully reattaching a factory worker's severed fingers and transforming his life. Shariq Siddiqui, who works in Delhi, was the victim of a factory accident about a month ago.
A machine fell on his hand, severely mutilating several of his fingers. He received immediate treatment after the accident, but his fingers failed to rejoin properly, and his hand continued to ache and swell.
He was taken to several prestigious hospitals in Delhi, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, and Shamli, but none offered him admission or hope that his hand would recover.
When the family finally arrived at Guru Nanak Hospital in Karnal, Dr. Hardeep Singh took charge of the treatment, saying, "It's my job to try, the rest depends on God." Dr. Hardeep Singh accepted a case that even major hospitals declared impossible, accepting it as a challenge and successfully reattaching the fingers. Today, Shariq is overjoyed to see his hand moving, and a smile has returned to his face.
Maulana Hamid Siddiqui of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind and Khurshid Alam, former media coordinator of the Haryana State Haj Committee, jointly honored Dr. Hardeep Singh with a Krishna Kripa Anga Vastra.
Maulana Hamid Siddiqui said, "One who trusts in God is never disappointed. The doctor has given our son-in-law a new life." Shariq expressed his gratitude, saying, "I was afraid my hand might never recover. But today my fingers are working again, and I am grateful to Allah and the doctor for that."
