Hoshiarpur: Following the Punjab government's announcement to release the first installment of the 'Mavan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana' (Mothers-Daughters Respect Scheme) in July, a large number of women are visiting the office of Dr. Ishank Kumar, MLA for the Chabbewal Assembly constituency, daily to handle registration and resolve document-related issues.
Dr. Ishank Kumar has already instructed the concerned officials to resolve issues faced by women regarding scheme registration on a priority basis. Additionally, he personally meets the women visiting his office, listens to their grievances, and attempts to resolve them on the spot.
MLA Dr. Ishank not only reviews the women's documents but, when necessary, captures images of their Aadhaar cards and other essential documents on his mobile phone and immediately forwards them to the relevant officials. This ensures the speedy disposal of pending cases and allows eligible women to receive the scheme's benefits on time.
Many women visiting the Chabbewal office have praised the MLA's approachable, friendly, and cooperative demeanor, noting that they can present their issues directly to him without any hesitation. They state that the MLA's personal interest in every case has further strengthened public trust. The large crowds gathering at the MLA's office daily indicate that the people of the area have faith in Dr. Ishank Kumar's accessible and sensitive style of functioning.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ishank Kumar said, "It is my responsibility to ensure that every woman in my constituency receives her due rights, and I am fully committed to this cause. I am personally making continuous efforts to ensure the benefits of the 'Mavan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana' reach every eligible woman. No woman will be allowed to face difficulties regarding registration or documentation. If needed, I will personally coordinate with officials from the relevant departments to ensure a quick resolution to every issue."
