Patiala:- In connection with the International Disability Week, the Chief Trainer of First Aid Safety Health Awareness Mission, Mr. Kaka Ram Verma, organized a special seminar under the leadership of Principal Mrs. Sarla Bhatnagar at Veer Haqiqat Rai Model Senior Secondary School, Patiala. In which 120 students and teachers from 8 schools were informed that disability can be caused by traffic accidents, domestic incidents, diseases, internal bleeding, head and spinal cord injuries or blood clots in the brain.
Principal Mrs. Sarla Bhatnagar said that on this occasion, the learned professors and students of Government Nursing College Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, provided practical training on home nursing, diet and care for the disabled people at home. Physiotherapist Dr. Eknoor Singh provided training that a disabled person can be cured with exercise, sports, travel, satisfaction, self-confidence and courage.
Because at this time, physiotherapy activities are proving more beneficial than medicines. Kaka Ram Verma, with the help of NCC cadets, taught first aid, CPR recovery or how to take the victims to the hospital in the case of head or spinal injuries, domestic incidents, heart attacks, cardiac arrest, unconsciousness, low blood sugar, internal bleeding, to prevent them from becoming disabled or dying.
The Principal of Veer Haqiqat Rai School, Mrs. Sarla Bhatnagar, thanked the subject experts and said that through such practical programs, people can get valuable training exercises to save the victims and cure the disabled during unexpected incidents, and can prove to be a boon for the safety and care of family members.
