Hoshiarpur:- MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that taking another important step towards the overall development of Hoshiarpur assembly constituency, the Punjab government has approved the construction of high level bridge on Bhangi Chow and construction of a new government school. Both these projects will strengthen the infrastructure of the area and provide great relief to the common people. MLA Jimpa said that administrative approval has been received for the construction of a 120-meter long and 10-meter wide high-level bridge on Bhangi Chow on Dhobi Ghat-Adamwal road.
The total cost of this project will be Rs 8.11 crore and this bridge will be built with 6 spans (each 20 meters) using modern technology. He said that the construction of the bridge will provide permanent relief from waterlogging and traffic problems during the rainy season and will further strengthen the connectivity between Dhobi Ghat, New Abadhi and Adamwal Road. The MLA said that this bridge will connect Dhobi Ghat, New Abadhi and Adamwal Road with safe, smooth and fast traffic facility.
This will not only benefit the local people but will also facilitate the movement of students, farmers, businessmen and employees of nearby villages. MLA Jimpa said that the construction of the bridge will also accelerate the economic, social and educational development of the area. During the rainy season, the water level in the Bhangi Chow used to increase, due to which the road used to be blocked, causing a lot of inconvenience to the public.
With the construction of the new high-level bridge, this problem will be completely eliminated. Taking a historic initiative in the field of education, MLA Jimpa said that a state-of-the-art government school will be built on 4.50 acres of land of the Municipal Corporation adjacent to the District Court Complex.
