Chandigarh, June 3:– In a major administrative reshuffle in the state with the aim of further strengthening the revenue administration at the ground level, the Haryana Government has issued orders for the appointment of 33 newly promoted Naib Tehsildars in various districts.
These officers have recently been promoted from the posts of Kanungo and District Revenue Accountant (DRA) and have been appointed against the vacant posts in various revenue institutions of the state. These orders were issued by Dr. Sumita Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department and Financial Commissioner, on June 2, 2026.
As per these orders, all 33 officers have been directed to take charge at their new places with immediate effect. The objective of these appointments is to fill up the long-standing vacant revenue posts and to make the land administration, revenue collection, mutation (transition) work, record management and services provided to the general public more effective in the state.
Some of the appointed officers have been posted in Panipat, Sirsa, Mahendragarh, Kalanwali, Beri, Hansi, Narnaul, Jagadhri, Wazirabad, Fatehabad, Charkhi Dadri and Hisar districts respectively. Apart from this, several officers have been posted in Palwal, Mohana, Gohana, Farrukhnagar, Sampla, Sonipat, Ratia, Karnal, Dabwali, Ambala, Rai, Pratapnagar (Yamunanagar), Rohtak and in the offices of the Financial Commissioner Revenue at Chandigarh.
Revenue department officials said that this step will play a significant role in addressing the shortage of personnel in many districts as well as increasing the efficiency of revenue administration. This will speed up the speedy disposal of pending revenue cases and improve the quality and transparency of citizen services in both rural and urban areas.
