Nawanshahr, July 24:- The School Education Department of the Punjab Government is taking various steps to further improve the education of students under the Education Revolution Campaign. Under this series, a district-level campaign to distribute free school bags to girl students in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district was launched from Government Girls Senior Secondary School Rahon.
During the function organized under the leadership of District Education Officer Anita Sharma and Principal-cum-Deputy District Education Officer Lakhbir Singh of the school, District Youth President Lakhwinder (Lucky) Ladhar distributed free school bags to 400 girl students of the school.
On this occasion, Principal-cum-Deputy District Education Officer Lakhbir Singh warmly welcomed the chief guest Lakhwinder Ladhar by presenting a bouquet of flowers.
Addressing the function, District Education Officers Anita Sharma and Lakhbir Singh said that the Punjab government providing free school bags to the girls will instill more enthusiasm in them towards studies. They said that in these bags, the girls will be able to conveniently keep their books, copies and other necessary things related to studies. They motivated the girls to study hard and achieve high goals in life.
The Chairman of the School Management Committee also gave his best wishes and blessings to the girls.
District Youth President Lakhwinder (Lucky) Ladhar said that the Punjab government is fully committed to the education of children and the School Education Department is providing maximum modern and better facilities to the students of government schools.
On this occasion, Principal-cum-Deputy District Education Officer Lakhbir Singh, Ajit Singh, Baldev Krishan, Charanjit Singh, Davinder Kaur, Bajwa, Gaganpreet Kaur, Gursharandeep, Harjinder Lal, Harjit Rani, Manjit Kaur, Rajan Rana, Satinder Kaur, Satnam Singh, Rajwinder Singh Sandhu, Ranjit Kaur, Renu, Nisha, Kamaldeep, Raman Rani, Sandeep Kaur, Nirmaljit, Ravdeep Kaur, Neelam Rani, Jasvir Raj, Balwinder Kaur, Jaswinder Kaur, Nidhi Umat, Ramandeep Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajinder Nath, Kuldeep Kumar, Parampreet Singh, Parminder Singh and the students of the school were present.
