Hoshiarpur- As per the directions of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Balbir Kumar Ji, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Ranjit Singh visited Block PHC Paldi, Posi and CHC Binewal. During this, various health programs were reviewed and necessary instructions were given.
Dr. Ranjit Singh inspected the delivery status, Antenatal Care (ANC), Sex Ratio and other MCH (Maternal and Child Health) services in Paldi block. He also inspected the delivery room and reviewed the cleanliness, available staff, availability of necessary equipment and medicines.
In Posi Block, Dr. Ranjit Singh inspected the delivery room and reviewed the activities of Antenatal Registration, Skewed Sex Ratio and its village-wise reporting and survey. He directed that every pregnant woman should be registered on time and her ANC check-ups should be done on time.
He stressed that every labour room should be fully prepared as per PPH (Post-Partum Hemorrhage) management protocols. For this, availability of all necessary equipment, medicines and trained staff should be ensured.
Dr. Ranjit Singh also inspected CHC Binewal and checked various records, cleanliness of labour room, stock of medicines and duty roster for smooth running of maternal and child health services. He asked to update the data from time to time and send detailed reports of all the cases to the District Office.
He said that the Health Department is monitoring and supervising at all levels to improve the quality of maternal and child health services. The higher authorities should also strictly follow the instructions regarding the care of pregnant women, safe deliveries and care of newborns.
Dr. Ranjit Singh finally said that the quality of health services can be improved only by ensuring cleanliness of health centers, availability of essential facilities and proper record keeping. All the officials and health workers were motivated to discharge their responsibilities wisely.
