Hansi:- DC Rahul Narwal stated that compensation for cotton crop damage in 2025 will be deposited into the bank accounts of the concerned farmers by the last week of March.
DC Rahul Narwal provided this information while listening to citizens' complaints and concerns at a resolution camp held at the local District Secretariat complex. At the resolution camp, a person had submitted a complaint regarding the provision of compensation for cotton crop damage. When DC Rahul Narwal inquired with Agriculture Department officials about this, they stated that the crop cutting experiment had been completed. The insurance company will complete the necessary formalities and the compensation amount will soon be deposited into the bank accounts of the concerned farmers. DC Rahul Narwal directed Agriculture Department officials to coordinate with the relevant insurance companies and ensure the payment of compensation amounts to farmers' accounts on a priority basis.
Agriculture Department officials also informed that after completing the local disaster survey for the cotton crop damaged in 2025, compensation of ?20.10 crore has been deposited into the bank accounts of farmers in the district.
Regarding the demand for installation of streetlights on the road leading to the grain market through Sector 6, DC Rahul Narwal directed Municipal Council officials to immediately inspect the site and ensure appropriate action is taken to install the lights. Similarly, a sanitation worker from Dhani Puria demanded payment of his salary. DC Rahul Narwal immediately directed the concerned department officials to investigate the matter and provide the employee with the salary.
At the resolution camp, most of the problems presented concerned the correction of annual income in the family identity card. Applications were also submitted for old age pension and widow pension. DC Rahul Narwal directed the speedy resolution of all complaints. Rajkumar, a resident of Sisay village, thanked DC Rahul Narwal on the spot for arranging his old-age pension. Deputy Tehsildar Suresh Kumar and officials from various departments were present at the resolution camp.
