Hansi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has urged Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh to declare Hansi a full-fledged district, fulfilling the long-pending demand of the people of Hansi, so that development work in the area and surrounding regions can gain momentum. Party district president Rajendra Sorkhi said that for the past several years, people from all sections of society have been strongly demanding that Hansi be made a district.
Movements and protests have also been organized for this demand. Thousands of people participated in the demonstrations. After the protests, the government took some steps towards making Hansi a district, but to date, Hansi has not become a full-fledged district. It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister himself had announced during the assembly elections that Hansi would be made a district and a District Collector would be stationed there.
The Chief Minister should fulfill his promise, even if it is delayed. The Aam Aadmi Party has urged the Chief Minister to fulfill this long-pending demand and grant Hansi the status of a full-fledged district so that new projects can be implemented in the area and development work can gain momentum. This would also create employment opportunities for the people of the region.
