Patiala:- Punjab Home Guard Civil Defense Patiala under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner, Work Controller and Commandant, Shri G.S. Dhillon, at the 7-day training camp being run at Government Nursing College Rajindra Hospital Patiala, NDRF Bathinda officials are training on civil defense, first aid, CPR, on-site prepared bandages, stretchers, rescue and transport of victims, fire safety, use of cylinders during natural and human disasters, efforts are being made by the governments of India and Punjab to teach maximum students, teachers, citizens and youth on a war footing.
So that in future natural and human disasters, wars, traffic accidents, immediate and proper efforts should be made by the volunteers to save precious lives and properties. By conducting such trainings and exercises, a safe, prosperous and advanced future is being prepared by forming civil defense teams in educational institutions, villages, cities and colonies.
Mohan Deep Singh and Karamjit Singh Bhinder, nodal officers of the training camp, said that by conducting continuous trainings through subject experts, this year, 360 youths in Patiala district are being trained for 7 days each, and civil defense teams are being prepared in maximum areas. The youths who took the training expressed their gratitude and said that through such trainings, exercises and mock drills, they are getting the knowledge to save the lives of victims in their homes, families, women's colonies and in the country and the world.
They will make proper efforts to save precious lives during all kinds of disasters. They said that such training programs should be held in educational institutions, villages and business establishments. On this occasion, Chief Border Officer Shri K.S. Sekhon, Disaster Management Trainer Shri Kaka Ram Verma, and all the border officers appreciated the work of Punjab Home Guard Civil Defense Patiala.
