Chandigarh, November 27:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that Haryana is not just a market, it is a manufacturing superpower. It is a major hub of automobile, IT and other industries. The Chief Minister said that he is confident that Tesla will set up its first electric vehicle manufacturing plant in India in Haryana and other related units of Tesla will also be set up here.
The Chief Minister was addressing the people present after inaugurating the country's first All-in-One center of Tesla India Motors in Gurugram on Thursday. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Pataudi MLA Mrs. Bimala Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Mr. Tejpal Tanwar, Gurugram MLA Mr. Mukesh Sharma were also present in the program.
Haryana government continuously striving to reduce the cost of doing business of industries
The Chief Minister, in his address after inaugurating the Tesla India Motors center, said that the Haryana government is continuously striving to reduce the cost of doing business of industries in Haryana. Under these efforts, a special leasing policy has been made for industrial plots. In this series, along with the industries established here, incentives are being given to the local supply chain.
The Chief Minister said that for effective dialogue with foreign companies and foreign countries, the Haryana government has established the Department of External Cooperation, which is continuously working to establish cooperation with foreign investors.
He said that to give impetus to the industrial development of Haryana, a single system of Ease of Doing Business has been prepared, due to which Haryana has taken the leading place in the Top Achievers category of Ease of Doing Business. He said that Haryana is proud of its automobile sector, which manufactures the largest number of passenger cars in India.
With investment and industry-friendly policies, Haryana has become a land of hopes and opportunities, exports have increased by more than Rs 2 lakh crore in the last 11 years
The Chief Minister said that Haryana has become a land of hopes and opportunities on the basis of its special and industry-friendly policies. Today, the state is counted among the dream states of the country. Haryana's contribution to the country's GDP is 3.6 percent. Before the year 2014, the state's exports were about Rs 70 thousand crore, which has now increased to Rs 2 lakh 75 thousand crore. The Chief Minister said that Haryana is second in the country and first in North India in providing logistics facilities to industries.
Businessmen freed from red tape by amending irrelevant laws
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana government has worked towards freeing businessmen from red tape by amending old laws, which were no longer relevant in today's times. He said that the government has notified the Public Assurance Ordinance, 2025 on October 11, so that the criminalization of 164 provisions in 42 state acts can be abolished. He said that it is the effect of the policies of the Haryana government that in the last 11 years, 12 lakh 20 thousand 872 micro, small and medium industries have come up in the state and 49 lakh 15 thousand people have got employment in these.
Haryana working on heart-to-heart model
The Chief Minister said that Haryana is the land of Gita. Here, they are not working only in B-to-B and G-to-G models, but also working with H-to-H i.e. Heart-to-Heart model. He said that Haryana is moving towards a target of one trillion dollars by the year 2047 to increase its contribution to the country's economy. Haryana is giving incentives to new startups, innovation and tech-based industries through big brands like Tesla.
Haryana is the 7th largest state in the number of startups in India
The Chief Minister said that Haryana has emerged as the 7th largest state in the number of startups in India. Currently, there are more than 9,100 recognized startups in Haryana. Similarly, AI hubs are being set up in Gurugram and Panchkula to promote AI-based startups and research in the state. The Department of Future has been established to adopt future technologies such as AI, Robotics, Biotechnology and Deep-Tech. He said that a separate MSME department has been formed in Haryana. To give incentives to micro, small and medium enterprises, an online facility for filing industrial memos has been started.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ajay Kumar, Advisor to Haryana External Cooperation Department Mr. Pawan Chaudhary, Senior Director of Tesla Isabelle Fenn, GM of Tesla in India Sharad Agarwal and other dignitaries were present.
