Hansi: In view of increasing movement on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan festival, Superintendent of Police Hansi Vinod Kumar has issued a security and traffic advisory for the general public. He appealed to the citizens to celebrate the festival with joy and take special care during travel.
On Raksha Bandhan, a large number of people travel to their homes and to other cities and villages by buses and other public transport. Due to this, there is a possibility of increased crowd at bus stands, markets and major roads. Hansi police is taking special vigilance regarding law and order and traffic arrangements.
Do not hurry while boarding and deboarding the bus
The SP appealed to the passengers to board or deboard only after the bus has completely stopped. Avoid boarding-deboarding a moving bus, pushing or negligence. Do not travel standing on the door or footboard of the bus. Be patient when there is more crowd and help women, children, elderly and disabled passengers.
Be vigilant at crowded places
Take special care of mobile phone, purse, cash, jewellery and other valuables at bus stands and markets. Do not leave children alone in crowd and keep mobile number of a family member with them. Do not take any suspicious object or packet from an unknown person. If unclaimed luggage is seen, do not touch it and immediately inform the police.
Appeal to drivers also
Drivers should use helmet and seat belt and do not use mobile phone while driving. Avoid high speed, driving in wrong direction, dangerous overtaking and drunken driving. Do not allow minors to drive vehicles. Park vehicles in markets only at designated parking places.
Police vigilant regarding women's safety
Hansi police will be especially vigilant regarding the safety of women and girls during Raksha Bandhan.
Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar said that Raksha Bandhan is a festival of happiness and family reunion. The priority of police is that every person reaches his home safely. He appealed to people to take special care of children and elderly, avoid haste and follow traffic rules.
