Hisar: Manavti Arya Kanya Vidyalaya organized a special awareness program on drug de-addiction at the local Krishna Vatika campus. MLA Vinod Bhayana, who attended as the chief guest, formally inaugurated the program. A 100-kund havan yagya was organized by the Arya Yuva Samaj. MLA Vinod Bhayana performed the full sacrifice and prayed to the Almighty for public welfare.
Addressing the citizens, MLA Bhayana stated that drug addiction has become a serious and worrying challenge for society today. He stated that addiction not only harms individuals but also hinders the progress of entire families, society, and the country. Describing addiction as a slow poison, he said that it increases crime, accidents, social evils, and deprives families of happiness.
The MLA commended the Girls' School for organizing such a socially relevant program and said that girls have the potential to bring about the greatest change in society. Where girls are aware, society definitely progresses in the right direction. He expressed confidence that this program will greatly help in raising awareness among students and citizens about the ill effects of drug abuse.
MLA Bhayana, while addressing the youth, said that the future of the country lies in their hands, and therefore, they should completely abstain from drugs. He said that the government is continuously campaigning against drug abuse and taking strict action against illegal drug trafficking, but real success will be achieved when young people themselves say "no" to drugs and also educate the rest of society about giving up drugs.
The MLA praised the school and teachers, saying that education is not limited to the curriculum; rather, such programs inculcate moral values ??and social responsibility in children. Attention should be paid to children's daily routines, and those who wish to quit drugs should be supported and encouraged.
He said that the state government can build a strong wall against drug abuse by promoting sports, yoga, cultural activities, and a positive environment in villages and cities. Only by uniting the entire society can the dream of a drug-free Haryana and a drug-free India be realized.
MLA Vinod Bhayana congratulated the school staff for the successful organization of the program and called it an important step towards social change. He called on all present to take a collective pledge to create a drug-free society.
