Hoshiarpur:- Dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the martyrdom of Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Diyala Ji, and Bhai Uday Singh Ji, Bhai Jaita Ji, and Bhai Jamala Singh Nanua Ji, who brought the head of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji from Chandni Chowk, Delhi, the Social Welfare Society (Registered), Garhshankar, organized a blood donation camp at the private hospital in Garhshankar.
The camp was jointly inaugurated by Harpal Singh Johal, Takht Board member of Sri Harimandir Patna Sahib, and Rajinder Singh Nanua. Special guests included Kanwar Arora (owner of Immigration), Pankaj Kripal, former president of the Bar Association, Garhshankar, social worker Jasvir Singh Jassi Purkhowal, President of the Rotary Club, Garhshankar, and Rajinder Prasad Soni, among other prominent personalities. Harpal Singh Johal said that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur made the supreme sacrifice to protect the honour of India and human rights.
Harmel Singh Saini, President of the Social Welfare Society, Garhshankar, and his associates enthusiastically organized a blood donation camp as a tribute to the martyrs. Rajinder Singh Nanua, President of Saini Bhawan, Ropar, who is a descendant of Martyr Jamala Singh Nanua and currently plays an important role in social work, said that our Gurus sacrificed their lives to protect religion and human rights. This blood donation camp dedicated to those martyrs is a highly commendable initiative.
Voluntary donors donated 45 units of blood at the camp, which were collected by the technical team of Sant Gurmel Singh Memorial Hospital and Blood Bank, Gadi Kanungo Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Prominent social worker J.P. Singh, Gurmel Singh Denowal, Baghel Singh Pehalwan, Doctor Jagmohan Singh, Avtar Singh Saini, Manjit Singh Lalian of Saini Auto TVS Garhshankar, Resham Singh Labba, Police Station President Bakshis Singh, Ishwinder Singh Dhillon, Jathedar Malkit Singh Mahal, Deepa Dushyant Walia, Rohit Sharma, Shingara Singh Kalyan, Ukar Singh Chahalpuri, Engineer Sukhwinder Singh Josh BBMB Nangal, Hardeep Singh Banwat, Kulwinder Singh, Advocate Harpreet Singh and other dignitaries were present.
Harvel Singh Saini, President of Social Welfare Society and social worker Ravi Kumar thanked all the people present on this occasion and said that he is heartily grateful to all the voluntary organizations and blood donors who made this blood donation camp a success. Shri Harnek Singh Banga, Deepak Kumar Raju, Prem Singh Numberdar, Baghel Singh Pehalwan, Hardeep Singh Deepa, Avtar Singh Denowal, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur Saini and many other regional dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
