Haroli/Una, June 15 (Rajveer Chopra): A special 'Nikshay' and 'Ayushman Arogya' camp was organized in village Saloh under the joint aegis of the MP Mobile Health Service—run under the guidance of former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur and with the support of the Prayas Society—and the 'Swasth Khand Haroli' initiative. A large number of villagers participated in the camp and availed themselves of various health services.
During the camp, 98 people underwent health check-ups, while 90 free lab tests and X-ray services were provided. Additionally, patients received free medicines, medical consultations, and essential health-related information.
Health experts raised awareness among the public regarding TB symptoms, timely testing, regular treatment, the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, and preventive measures against various diseases. Under the 'TB-Mukt Bharat' (TB-Free India) campaign, people were also encouraged to undergo immediate testing if they experienced any suspicious symptoms.
Orthopedic specialist Dr. Rohit Rai was a special attendee at the camp. He examined patients suffering from bone, joint, and spinal issues, providing them with necessary medical advice and guidance on treatment. A large number of patients benefited from his expert services.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Rohit Rai, Community Health Officers (CHOs), Pharmacist Indu, STS Satish Kumar, Gulshan Kumar, Nihal Singh, Manish, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi workers were present on the occasion. Everyone contributed significantly to spreading health awareness and making the 'TB-Mukt Bharat' campaign a success.
Appreciating this public-friendly initiative by the MP Mobile Health Service and 'Swasth Khand Haroli', local residents remarked that such camps are strengthening the reach of healthcare facilities in rural areas. They particularly highlighted the availability of specialist doctors as highly beneficial for the community. At the conclusion of the camp, the Health Department team appealed to the people to realize the resolve that "TB will lose, the country will win" and to actively participate in the TB-free India campaign.
