Chandigarh, June 3:– The Haryana government will set up 26 new government Ayurvedic dispensaries in six districts of the state at an estimated cost of about Rs 15.70 crore. The aim of this initiative is to strengthen the AYUSH health service infrastructure and improve people’s access to traditional health services in rural areas.
Giving information here today, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare and AYUSH Department, Dr. Sumita Mishra said that these dispensaries will be set up in Yamunanagar (10), Mahendragarh (6), Rewari (5), Kurukshetra (3), Karnal (1) and Gurugram (1). The total cost of this project under the Non-recurring civil works category is estimated at Rs 1,570.22 lakh (Rs 15.70 crore). Dr. Sumita Mishra said that the cost estimates for the construction of these 26 government Ayurvedic dispensaries have been received from the Development and Panchayat Department of Haryana. In Yamunanagar district, 10 dispensaries will be constructed in Bhangera, Tajewala, Khurdban, Talkaur, Mahiuddinpur, Darpur, Dhakwala, Dadupur Head, Damoli and Leda Khadar villages, of which the estimated cost of each dispensary is Rs 59.17 lakh. Dispensaries will be set up in Ajrana Kalan in Kurukshetra district at a cost of Rs 59.15 lakh, in Kalsa at a cost of Rs 59.74 lakh and in Mohri at a cost of Rs 59.15 lakh, while a dispensary will be constructed in Fafrana village in Karnal district at a cost of Rs 59.17 lakh. In Rewari district, four dispensaries will be constructed in Rohrai, Jhabua, Jaisinghpur Khera and Karavra Manakpur villages at a cost of Rs 59.17 lakh per dispensary, and one in Lisan village at a cost of Rs 59.00 lakh. In Mahendragarh district, six dispensaries will be constructed in Gudha, Bavaniya, Rasulpur, Buchawas, Surjanwas and Rambas villages, of which the construction cost of each dispensary is estimated at Rs 64.50 lakh. A dispensary will be set up at Sahjawas village in Gurugram district at an estimated cost of Rs 58.63 lakh. Dr. Mishra said that these new dispensaries will expand the reach of Ayurvedic health services, especially in rural areas, and further strengthen the AYUSH infrastructure of Haryana. The project will be implemented through the Panchayati Raj Department in coordination with the concerned agencies. He said that this initiative will improve the availability of preventive and traditional health services and ensure better access to quality Ayurvedic treatment facilities for the residents of the identified districts.
