SAS Nagar, May 26- Municipal Councillor of Ward No. 27 Parwinder Kaur and Councillor of Ward No. 30 Vineet Malik submitted a demand letter to SE of Punjab State Power Corporation, Mohali regarding problems arising due to strike of contract workers.
The demand letter said that due to the strike, residents of both the wards are facing a lot of problems in power supply. Though regular employees (linemen, JEs, and SDOs) are trying their best to solve the problems by cooperating in every matter, the situation remains challenging due to shortage of staff.
They demanded that the issue of contract workers be resolved and their genuine demands be met so that people get relief from the difficulties faced during power supply in this hot summer season. Senior Congress leader Kulwinder Singh Sanju was also present on the occasion.
