Dengue control: Health department teams inspected various places.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, June 20: Under the "Har Friday Dengue Te Vaar" campaign, teams of the district health department, led by Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain, visited various places in the district today. Dr. Jain said that the health teams inspected containers to find larvae of mosquitoes responsible for dengue fever, especially nurseries, vacant plots and construction sites and other possible places of mosquito breeding.

Dr. Jain said that the health teams inspected containers to find larvae of mosquitoes responsible for dengue fever, especially nurseries, vacant plots and construction sites and other possible places of mosquito breeding.
The people present on the spot were also told in detail about the symptoms, causes, prevention and treatment of dengue fever. The inspection teams mainly included students of nursing colleges of the district and Asha workers.
The Civil Surgeon said that on the instructions of the Punjab Government, the 'Har Friday Dengue Te Vaar' campaign is going on in full swing in the entire district. Where officers and other employees are running the campaign. Action is also being taken to issue challans by conducting door-to-door surveys. During the survey, utensils, pots, coolers, fridges, boxes and other items are being checked.
He said that the only effective way to avoid dengue is to not let water accumulate at any place. Dr. Jain said that the larva of the mosquito that spreads dengue fever transforms into a dangerous mosquito in a few days which can even kill a person. He said that there is no fixed season for dengue fever but usually this fever is more from July to the end of November.
The mosquito that spreads dengue fever bites during the day and thrives in clean water. Dengue testing and treatment is free in government health institutions. Dengue Fever -
Dengue is a fever that is caused by the bite of a mosquito called Aedes aegypti. Common symptoms of dengue include severe headache and high fever, muscle and joint pain, pain behind the eyes, bleeding from nose, mouth and gums in severe cases, nausea and vomiting, etc.
