
District level committee meeting concluded under National Bamboo Mission
Una, March 18- Under National Bamboo Mission, a district level committee meeting was concluded on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed to invite tenders for smooth operation and maintenance of National Bamboo Project Ghandawal Unit. The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officials to complete all the formalities related to Ghandawal Bamboo Unit and complete the tender process soon.

Let us tell you, under the National Bamboo Mission, Bamboo Village Project is being developed in Ghandawal, Una at a cost of about Rs 5 crore. In this project, other works including setting up processing unit, tooth brush, furniture and other decorative bamboo items manufacturing unit will be done. This project is dedicated to promoting eco-friendly lifestyle as well as providing natural products to the people and giving employment opportunities to women at the local level.
On this occasion, Executive Project Officer DRDA KL Verma, Deputy Director Agriculture Kulbhushan Dhiman, DFO Sushil Rana, Industry Department Manager Akhil Sharma, Junior Engineer Khemram and other officers were present.
