Patiala, December 5 - On the occasion of World Soil Day, Krishi Vigyan Kendra of Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana, Patiala organized a program at village Chapar with the message 'Soil and Water: Source of Life' in which 50 farmers participated. done In this program, Dr. Gurupdesh Kaur, in-charge said welcome to the farmers.   Dr. Gurpreet Singh, District Extension Specialist (Soil Science), Farm Advisory Service Center, Patiala gave detailed information on soil and water testing and sampling. Dr. Hardeep Singh Sabikhi, Assistant Professor (Plant Science) shared information about the prevention of diseases and pests in wheat to the farmers. Dr Rachna Singla, Professor (Horticulture) explained the method of soil sampling for planting gardens. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, District Extension Specialist (CMO), Farm Advisory Service Center, Patiala, gave information about the ongoing schemes of various departments related to agriculture.
