New Delhi, June 21 - Home Minister Amit Shah has said that India will not restore the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan. After this comment of the Home Minister, a war of words has broken out between the two countries.
Shah said in an interview with an English newspaper today that India will not restore the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan and the domestic needs will be met with the water going to the neighboring country.
On the other hand, Pakistan has termed this statement as irresponsible and a violation of international norms. It is worth mentioning that India had suspended the 1960 Indus Water Treaty after the death of 26 people in the Pahalgam terror attack.
