Ujjain, September 19- President Draupadi Murmu on Thursday appealed to the people of the country to come forward in the direction of cleanliness, saying that India will become healthy and developed only with cleanliness. Addressing the 'Safai Mitra Summit' here, he praised the city of Indore in Madhya Pradesh for being at the top spot in the cleanliness survey for the seventh time in a row and Bhopal for being the capital of the cleanest state in the country.
He said that he is very happy to honor the Safai Mitras (cleaning workers). On this occasion, the President appealed to take steps to make the country clean, healthy and developed, hoping that the countrymen would come forward under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
