Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini appeals to traders to pass on the benefit of reduced GST rates to consumers.

Chandigarh, October 4 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini today appealed to the traders of the state to ensure that they pass on the full benefit of the reduced GST rates by the Central Government to the consumers. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the people of the country have got a huge benefit through the reform in GST rates.

Chandigarh, October 4 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini today appealed to the traders of the state to ensure that they pass on the full benefit of the reduced GST rates by the Central Government to the consumers. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the people of the country have got a huge benefit through the reform in GST rates.
The Chief Minister said that it is the responsibility of the traders to become partners in taking the GST Bachat Utsav to the common people. He said that the reduction in taxes will not only give a boost to trade, but consumers will also be able to avail the benefit of goods and services at cheaper prices. Cheaper prices, increasing trade and a strong economy, this is the core spirit of the GST Utsav, which will take Haryana to a new level of progress.
He said that this reform step is a historic initiative towards self-reliant India and a strong economy, in which the active participation of the business community is essential. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the business community of Haryana will play a leading role in benefiting the consumers in line with the spirit of the Prime Minister.
The Chief Minister said that the new GST reforms implemented by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will bring huge economic benefits to the state and will directly benefit the common consumer class. This will add vibrancy to the market and give a new impetus to consumption during the festive season. The prices of many consumer goods used in daily life have come down, which will lead to greater savings for the middle class. This savings will not only provide relief to the consumers, but will also create opportunities for the business world.

Traders to encourage production and promotion of indigenous products to give momentum to Atmanirbhar Bharat
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that the Prime Minister is taking forward the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and is emphasizing on the adoption of indigenous products. The reforms made in GST will play an important role in realizing this vision. He appealed to the traders to produce and promote more indigenous products in the coming days, so that consumers give priority to purchasing local goods. This will not only strengthen the domestic industry, but also the economy of the state and the country.

Haryana's continuous good performance in GST collection
The Chief Minister said that Haryana has continuously performed well in GST collection. The state's net SGST collection in 2018-19 was Rs 18,910 crore, while in 2024-25 this figure has increased to Rs 39,743 crore. This achievement testifies to the strong economy of the state and the support of traders. The Chief Minister said that it is because of the traders that Haryana has consistently become the leading state in GST collection.
