Banga/Nawanshahr- The three-day "Parvaaz 2025" was organized by the Art and Culture Department of Sikh National College Banga under the guidance of Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder, in which inter-departmental co-educational competitions were held and the Arts Department became the champion for the third consecutive time. About 200 students participated in these competitions and showcased their talents.
On the last day of the event, Principal Manjit Singh participated as the chief guest. Along with him, Prof. Pargan Singh (Retd.) and Jarnail Singh Palli Jhikki (Secretary) also attended as special guests. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh welcomed the guests and wished the participating students. On the first day of the event, fine arts (rangoli, painting, photography), on the second day, literary competitions (poetry, speech, debate) and on the last day, music, theater and folk dance competitions were held.
In these competitions, the Arts Department won the Overall Champion Trophy with 64.5 points. The Computer Department came second with 58 points, the Commerce Department came third with 44.5 points and the Science Department came fourth with 39 points. On this occasion, the Principal highly appreciated the full participation of all the departments. Dr. Gurvinder Singh (Dean, Art and Culture Department) specially thanked the guests for their participation and encouragement of the students.
Principal Manjit Singh motivated the students to work harder to improve their art. Prof. Pargan Singh, while addressing, praised the students' performances and also added color by singing Bolly. The guests were presented with mementos. The stage was conducted by Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur, Prof. Tajinder Singh and Prof. Pooja. The winning students were honored with certificates and the departments were awarded trophies.
On this occasion, Prof. Abid Waqkar, Dr. Indu Ratti, Dr. Sunidhi Miglani, Dr. Amrit Kaur, Dr. Harjot Singh, Dr. Sona Bansal, Dr. Kamaldeep Kaur, Dr. Davinder Kaur, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Dr. Jyoti Prakash, Prof. Vipan, Manmant Singh Librarian Prof. Tavinder Kaur, Prof. Neelam, Prof. Nancy, Prof. Sikha, Prof. Sham Singh, Bhangra Coach Pawan Kumar and Gurpreet Singh were present.
