
Farmers of Mahendragarh district got seven projects worth Rs 1400 lakhs - Shruti Chaudhary.
Chandigarh, July 15 - Haryana Irrigation Minister Shruti Chaudhary has given many gifts to the farmers of South Haryana. She along with Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has approved seven projects worth about Rs 1400 lakhs for Mahendragarh district, the foundation stone of which was laid today. This will help in water conservation and recharging ponds in more than 3250 acres of land in more than a dozen villages.
Chandigarh, July 15 - Haryana Irrigation Minister Shruti Chaudhary has given many gifts to the farmers of South Haryana. She along with Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has approved seven projects worth about Rs 1400 lakhs for Mahendragarh district, the foundation stone of which was laid today. This will help in water conservation and recharging ponds in more than 3250 acres of land in more than a dozen villages.
Irrigation Minister Shruti Chaudhary said that projects will be made for water conservation in the villages of Patharwa, Jawaharnagar and Nangla of Mahendragarh district. Which will be connected to the Jarwa distributary. A total of Rs 460.13 lakh will be spent on this project, with this 600 acres of land of the above three villages will be irrigated.
Similarly, a water tank will be constructed in village Jarwa at a cost of Rs 258.63 lakh for storage of canal water. It will be used for sprinkler irrigation of crops, water conservation and groundwater recharge. This project will benefit 450 acres of land.
A similar project will be set up in Dalnawas village of Mahendragarh district at a cost of Rs 150.09 lakh. With this, sprinkler irrigation of crops will be done, water conservation will be done and groundwater will be recharged.
The Irrigation Minister informed that HDPE (High Density Polythene) pipeline will be laid to send water from Madhogarh distributary to Madhogarh valley. Along with this, approval has also been given for construction of pump house and other works as well as repair work for 3 years. This project will cost a total of Rs 146.73 lakh and will enable water conservation in 650 acres of land of Madhogarh, Dalnawas and Rajawas villages and recharge of groundwater. Shruti Chaudhary said that approval has been given to lay RCC pipeline to fill the pond of village Mandiali with water from Madhogarh branch, which will cost Rs 26.02 lakh. This project will benefit the farmers of village Mandiali, their village pond will also be filled with water and it will also help in improving the groundwater level.
He further said that a HDPE (High Density Polythene) pipeline will be laid from Satnali feeder to village Garhi to fill the pond with water. Through this project, during heavy rainfall, the overflowing water from Satnali feeder will be used to raise the groundwater level and for irrigation purposes. The total cost of the said project will be Rs 237.28 lakh and this will benefit about 400 acres of land in Garhi and Bas village.
The Irrigation Minister further informed that the foundation stone of the project to recharge the Dohan river flowing through the area of Central University of Jat Pali has also been laid today, this project will cost a total of Rs 121 lakh. He said that this project will benefit the villagers of Jat and Pali villages. This will recharge 850 acres of land. Irrigation Minister Shruti Chaudhary expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini for approving all the above projects and said that he is always committed to the interests of the farmers. She said that she will continue to strive in the future to irrigate maximum land of the farmers of South Haryana who are suffering from drought.
