Pensioners submitted a demand letter to the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner.

S.A.S. Nagar, July 15- Pensioners Welfare Society, Mohali sent a demand letter to the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner of Mohali through All India State Government Pensioners Federation regarding the demands of pensioners.

Sukhdeep Singh, President of the organization, told that in a meeting of Pensioners Welfare Society, Mohali, it was decided to give a demand letter to the Prime Minister regarding the demands of All India State Government Pensioners Federation.
In the meeting, the Punjab Government was condemned for not accepting the demands of the pensioners and it was demanded that the pensioners should be given the benefit of 2.59 multiplier immediately as per the decision of the Sixth Pay Commission, the anti-pensioner letter of 22-7-22 regarding national fixation should be withdrawn and a new letter should be issued to give the benefit of national fixation as per the examples of the letter of the Seventh Pay Commission of the Central Government dated 6-7-2016, as well as the lump sum arrears should be given to the pensioners immediately.
He said the meeting also condemned the non-payment of arrears of instalments to family pensioners. It demanded that the remaining instalments of DA be released immediately, budget for medical reimbursement be increased, deduction of community pension amount be stopped after completion, and court orders be implemented immediately.
Among others present in the meeting were General Secretary Ranjit Singh Hans, Chairman Ram Kishan Dhunakian, Randhir Singh (President, Kurali), Gunwant Singh, Mahinder Khokhar (Kharar), Sikander Singh, Charanjit Kaur, S.K. Dabda, Balwant Singh, Surinder Singh (Kurali), and Malagar Singh (Kurali).
