S. Chaman Singh (Project Director) while addressing the gathering first told about the establishment of Red Cross. On this occasion, he said that today school students are also getting trapped in the trap of drugs. He said that due to lack of information about drugs among students, children are getting addicted to drugs at an early age.
Gradually children are getting addicted to big drugs like heroin. Therefore, it is very important to make students aware about drugs. Many times when children face a problem, they get trapped in the quagmire of drugs on someone's advice.
He also explained in detail about the terrible diseases caused by drugs. He said that every family is Punjab, if we make our homes drug free, then we can make Punjab and the country drug free too. Therefore, we all should contribute and make people aware about drug addiction. He appealed to the students that many problems come in student life, but drug addiction is not the solution to any problem.
If someone offers to take drugs, then you can complain about it to the police department, the information of which is kept completely confidential. We all should read the biographies of our great warriors and gurus, pirs who gave their martyrdom for this country and nation. We have to strengthen our mental level, only then we can avoid evils like drug addiction.
Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur (Counselor) also shared detailed information about the treatment of patients in the center that any drug addict can get free treatment by staying in the center for one month as per his wish, because drug addiction cannot be cured by staying at home, it is necessary to reach psychiatrists and drug rehabilitation centers to get rid of drug addiction.
On this occasion Mr. Jujhar Singh (teacher) conducted the stage very well and he also shared information about drug addiction and thanked the Red Cross team and said that we should implement the suggestions given by the team in our lives.
