Cabinet Minister Anil Vij inaugurated the STP being built at a cost of Rs 15 crore in Babyal.

Chandigarh, June 8- Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labor Minister Mr. Anil Vij said that by carrying out development works at a cost of crores of rupees in Ambala Cantonment Assembly constituency, facilities have been made available to the people, which include Government College Ambala Cantonment, Mini Secretariat Ambala Cantonment, Asia's largest international level martyr's memorial, construction of grain market, Science Museum, International level football stadium etc.

Mr. Vij was addressing the public after inaugurating the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) with a capacity of 10 lakh liters per day at a cost of Rs 15 crore in Babyal of Ambala Cantonment today.
He said that this treatment plant will provide sewerage facility to 15 thousand houses connected to about 140 km long sewerage line in several colonies. The sewerage treatment plant has been built on modern MBR technology which has been designed keeping in mind the future 25 years. After the water is treated in this treatment plant, it will be released into the nearby Tangri river.
He said that the work of laying 370 km sewerage line is being done from Kalarheri to Machhoda at a cost of Rs 341 crore.
He said that 5 new electric air-conditioned buses have been added to the transport fleet so that people can travel easily.
