First-year Vet students start session with inspiration, exploration, and blessings

Ludhiana 23 September 2025- First year professional of Bachelor of Veterinary Sc. & A.H. course at the College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana , Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, began with an orientation lecture by Dr. Swaran Singh Randhawa, Dean. He introduced first-year students to the detailed academic curriculum, the College’s academic infrastructure, clinical training, digital resources, and future career prospects, emphasizing hands-on learning in veterinary education.

He introduced first-year students to the detailed academic curriculum, the College’s academic infrastructure, clinical training, digital resources, and future career prospects, emphasizing hands-on learning in veterinary education.
Dr. JPS Gill, Vice-Chancellor, commended the orientation efforts and extended a warm welcome to the first-year B.V.Sc. & A.H. students, assuring them of unwavering support and comprehensive access to all facilities essential for the program’s success.
A campus tour led by Dr. Anuradha Gupta, familiarized students with the para-clinical departments, research labs, and livestock farms. Students explored facilities in paraclinical departments gaining insight into scientific livestock management and diagnostics. 
They also visited the Multispecialty Veterinary Clinical Complex, which features advanced treatment units. Students also visited the Livestock Farm complex with farm animals and the university library. 
Faculty members guided them throughout, making the experience interactive and enriching. The orientation and tour helped students to connect with the campus, understand available resources, and inspired enthusiasm for their journey towards becoming skilled veterinarians.
To invoke divine blessings for the students embarking on their veterinary journey, the Shri Sukhmani Sahib Path was held at Gurdwara Singh Sabha, PAU, organized by the Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle in collaboration with the Directorate of Students Welfare.
