Hansi: Following the instructions of Superintendent of Police, Hansi, Amit Yashwardhan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hansi, Ravindra Sangwan, and Traffic SHO, Inspector Sunil Kumar, visited the Truck Union, Hansi, today and held a meeting with union officials and truck drivers. During the meeting, the police officers explained the importance of road safety and traffic rules to truck drivers.
They stated that the most effective way to prevent road accidents is to follow traffic rules. If drivers maintain proper speed control, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, avoid using mobile phones while driving, and maintain complete vehicle documents, the risk of accidents is significantly reduced.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police informed truck drivers that overloading is not only a legal offense, but it also negatively impacts the vehicle's braking system and balance, increasing the risk of road accidents. Similarly, driving in the wrong direction, careless overtaking, and not parking at designated places are also major causes of accidents.
Traffic SHO Inspector Sunil Kumar instructed the truck drivers present on the spot to regularly use helmets and seat belts, service their vehicles, check their tires, and install reflectors at night. He said that the traffic police will continue to organize such awareness programs from time to time to ensure that drivers remain sensitive to road safety.
At the end of the meeting, the officials expressed their gratitude to the officials of the truck union and administered an oath to all the drivers that they will always follow traffic rules and prioritize road safety.
