Garhshankar 27 May - Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur today opened an admission centre at Bhai Tilku Ji Gurudwara Sahib near the railway station in Garhshankar city to facilitate career guidance, counselling and admission in the new session of the students of Garhshankar city and nearby villages.
Manager of Sikh Educational Council Inderjit Singh Bharta, who was specially present on this occasion, inaugurated this admission centre in the presence of Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh, social worker Happy Sadhowal, Dr. Lakhwinder Singh Billon, Sarpanch Joginder Pal Sadhowal and college staff. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh said in his address that Shri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur, which started in 1946 with pure missionary spirit, is an institution having a distinct place in the field of education and sports.
He said that the institutes which have mushroomed in the field of higher education for the purpose of earning profit are indiscriminately exploiting the needy and meritorious students, against which there is a need to be aware. He appealed that the students of various villages of the area will greatly benefit from this admission counter opened by Khalsa College Mahilpur in Garhshankar.
He appealed to the students of the area to come to this admission center and get information about various courses according to their choice and said that this missionary institution gives special discount in fees to needy and meritorious students. On this occasion, Professor Dr. J.B. Sekhon expressed his gratitude and said that the college staff will be available for every kind of help to the students in this admission and counseling center.
