Awareness camps organized till NCD campaign

Senior Medical Officer Dr. Alkjot Kaur said that hypertension or high blood pressure is becoming common these days.

Senior Medical Officer Dr. Alkjot Kaur said that hypertension or high blood pressure is becoming common these days.
This year, the theme of World Hypertension Day has been kept as “Measure your blood pressure correctly, control it and live long”, which motivates the common people to be aware about the correct measurement of their blood pressure. She said that the main objective of celebrating World Hypertension Day is to increase the knowledge of the common people by making them aware about high blood pressure. 
He said that more than 30 percent of the world's population suffers from high blood pressure, due to which there is a risk of heart and kidney diseases etc. Due to changing lifestyle, children are now also becoming victims of this disease. By making changes in our lifestyle, we can prevent other non-communicable diseases like blood pressure like diabetes, heart attack etc.
Reduce the consumption of salt and fried foods and do not consume tobacco and alcohol. Do not let weight gain, reduce the amount of fat in food, eat more vegetables and fruits and reduce stress.
