Hoshiarpur- CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Neeraj Goyal said that the second National Lok Adalat of the year 2025 is being organized on May 24 at the district level and sub-division level under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Rajinder Agarwal. He said that all possible efforts are being made to make the public aware about Lok Adalat.
Secretary District Legal Services Authority said that the objective of Lok Adalat is that people can get maximum benefit by presenting their cases in Lok Adalat with settlement in civil, criminal and pre-litigation matters. This will save both their time and money and will also save them from having to go through the courts repeatedly.
Under Section 22-(1) of the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987, matters relating to public utility services such as transport, postal, telegraph, telephone, hospital, insurance, banking, education, old age pension, traffic challan, Shagun Yojana etc. are disposed of in the minimum possible time in the Permanent Lok Adalats so that the people can be saved from unnecessary inconvenience.
