New Delhi, May 8 - Pakistan intensified military confrontation with India on Thursday night. Pakistan has made its intentions clear to escalate the conflict. Pakistan carried out missile and drone attacks on several places in northern and western India, which were foiled by Indian security forces.
The office of the Chief of Defense Staff said in a post on the social media platform X, "Pakistan targeted military stations in Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur near the international border in Jammu and Kashmir using missiles and drones." There was no damage. This threat was strongly neutralised by the Indian armed forces (both active and passive means)."
Defence sources said eight missiles fired by Pakistan towards Satwari, Samba, R.S. Pura and Arnia were intercepted by integrated 'air defence units'. Sources said the scenes witnessed in Jammu were reminiscent of a 'Hamas' style attack on Israel. Indian intelligence agencies have also informed the government about Hamas' meeting with Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.
