
World Red Cross Day celebrated in Gandhi Nagar Patiala - Upkar Singh.
In Government High School Gandhi Nagar Lahori Gate Patiala, under the leadership of Headmistress Mrs. Neelam Ji, International Red Cross Day dedicated to Bhai Ghanaianji and Surgeon Henry Deuna was celebrated. It was presided over by Mrs. Parminder Manchanda, Director Punjab Red Cross Detoxification and Rehabilitation Center, Skeet Hospital. The chief guest was Upkar Singh, President Gyan Jyoti Education Society, Patiala and the special guest was Mr. Kaka Ram Verma, former trainer, Red Cross.

The chief guest addressed the students and said that Red Cross volunteers are making commendable efforts in the world to help the victims of health emergencies and for peace, harmony, cooperation and we should work together to prevent crime, accidents, diseases and educate the youth. On this occasion, the special guest Mrs. Manchanda gave brief information about Bhai Ghan Eyan Ji and Surgeon Henry Dunne, about the great work of Florence Nightingale, Bhagat Puran Singh and about the work of the Red Cross team. She gave information about the Saket Hospital. Before this, the guests who came to the school were welcomed. Ranjit Kaur Jaspreet Singh, Parminder Verma, Ranjit Kaur, Jaswinder, Parminder Singh and the entire staff and students from Saket Hospital participated in this program.
