Meeting held for selection of BPL families, application date extended till 17th.

Una, May 2- A meeting regarding the selection process of BPL (below poverty line) families was organized in DRDA Hall Una under the chairmanship of SDM Una Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan. All Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, District Panchayat Officers, Panchayat Secretaries, concerned Patwaris and other officers and employees of sub-division area Una participated in the meeting.

Una, May 2- A meeting regarding the selection process of BPL (below poverty line) families was organized in DRDA Hall Una under the chairmanship of SDM Una Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan. All Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, District Panchayat Officers, Panchayat Secretaries, concerned Patwaris and other officers and employees of sub-division area Una participated in the meeting.
During this, SDM Una directed all the officers and employees to complete the selection process with complete transparency and fairness. Also, instructions were given to do extensive publicity at the Gram Panchayat level so that no eligible person is deprived of this process.
During this, Block Development Officer Una KL Verma gave detailed information regarding the BPL selection process. He said that the process of selection of BPL families is going on as per the guidelines laid down by the government. Earlier the last date for applying was fixed as 30th April, which has now been extended to 17th May. He said that all interested eligible persons can submit their application forms along with all the necessary documents in the office of the Panchayat Secretary by 17 May.
After this, all the applications will be examined by the verification committee constituted by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) Una, which will include the concerned Patwari, Panchayat Secretary and Anganwadi worker of the concerned ward. This verification work will be completed by 25 June. After this, the list prepared will be displayed on the notice board of the Panchayat for public information and will be presented in the Gram Sabha meeting organized in the month of July. This entire process will be completed by 15 October as per the guidelines issued by the government.
