On Tuesday, Executive Engineer of Building and Road Construction Department Anil Narwal formally handed over the fire safety certificate to SDM Rajesh Khoth. Officers and employees of the Public Works Department office were also present on this occasion.
SDM Rajesh Khoth said that this NOC has been issued after full compliance of fire safety standards and successful installation of fire safety system. An amount of about Rs 47 lakh has been spent on installing modern fire safety system in the joint office complex.
The work of installing fire safety system in the building was completed in a period of three months. Under this fire safety system, in case of smoke rising in the building, the automatic alarm system will activate and start giving alert signals, so that prompt action can be ensured in case of any accidental fire.
Executive Engineer of Building and Road Construction Department Anil Narwal said that this certificate is given to a building only after it meets all the criteria. This is the first revenue building to receive this certificate. Hansi's Public Works Department Rest House Building has also received a fire safety certificate. It will be mandatory to renew this fire NOC every three years, so that the fire safety of the building remains ensured.
After receiving the fire NOC, a mock drill (practice session) will be organized in the joint office complex on July 3. The purpose of this mock drill is to teach all employees to give quick and planned response in an emergency situation.
Expressing happiness over this achievement, SDM Rajesh Khoth said, "Fire safety is a basic need of today's era. This NOC is not just a paperwork, but a concrete step towards public safety."
The role of the Public Works Department, Fire Department and all other supporting officials has been commendable for the successful implementation of this work.
