He said that under the scheme, the heads of 237 Gram Panchayats of Una district have got themselves registered on the portal related to the scheme and the registration of the remaining 8 Gram Panchayat heads will also be ensured soon so that maximum people can be ensured the benefits of the scheme. Deputy Commissioner Una said that under the scheme, free registration of people related to various 18 professions is being done on the portal of the scheme through the nearest Lok Mitra Center or CSC, after which after verification at the level of the concerned Panchayat Pradhan and the concerned Block Development Officer. Will be verified by the district level committee. After this, the person will be provided training for 5 to 7 days in the related business and during this time, he will also be provided an allowance at the rate of Rs 500 per day. After training, these artisans will be provided financial assistance of Rs 15,000 to purchase the necessary machines, tools or equipment to start their business. Apart from this, for the expansion of the related business, each artisan will be provided a loan of Rs 1 lakh 2 lakh respectively by the government in an interval of 18 months, on which a subsidy of eight percent will be provided at the normal interest rates.
Deputy Commissioner Una said that the fee for registration in PM Vishwakarma Yojana is being borne by the government and the artisans will not have to pay any kind of fee. He said that if any complaint is received from the person concerned by Lok Mitra Centers or CSC operators during the registration of artisans, strict action will be taken against them. He has urged the public representatives to make the eligible persons as much aware as possible about the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
