A huge district level health and employment camp will be organized for women on 14th in Nawanshahr - Rajesh Dhiman

Nawanshahr- A huge district level camp is being organized at ITI Ground, Nawanshahr on February 14, 2025 to keep the women and girls of the district healthy and to provide them employment opportunities. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman during a meeting with the concerned officials to review the preparations for the camp.

He said that the camp being organized under the guidelines of the Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development, Punjab aims to make them aware of the schemes being run by the Punjab Government for the welfare of women, as well as to make them aware of personal hygiene and health and provide them employment opportunities. He said that the Punjab Government has implemented many schemes for health checkup and treatment of women, by taking advantage of which women can play an important role in building a healthy society.
He informed that during the camp, stalls will be set up by various departments to provide benefits of schemes running for women in Punjab and free health check-up and treatment facilities will be provided to women during the camp. Similarly, various placement agencies will also participate in this camp to provide employment opportunities to women and girls with the cooperation of District Employment Bureau and District Industries Center, by which eligible candidates will be given appointment letters on the spot and girls will be given information about skill development and employment opportunities. On this occasion, pregnant women will also be registered to avail benefits under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. During the camp, along with updating the Aadhar card, stalls will be set up by District Child Protection Unit, Sakhi One Stop Center, Mahila Hub regarding the facilities being provided to women and girls. During this, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary guidelines to the concerned departments for the successful organization of the camp. He appealed to the district residents to reach the ITI ground on February 14 and take maximum advantage of the facilities being provided by various departments during the camp.
