NPS affected employees burnt copies of UPS notification

He said that this NPS of the Central Government has cheated them more and in protest against this notification, on the call of Purani Pension Restoration Struggle Committee Punjab and on the directions of District Convener Mr. Gurdayal Mann, copies of the notification of Unified Pension Scheme were burnt in Mallpur Arka.

At this time, the leaders of Purani Pension Restoration Struggle Committee Hans Raj, Balveer, Bhupinder, Kulveer, Jaswinder Kaur, Manjit Kaur, Pinky Devi, Amrik Kaur said that the SOP issued by the Central Government yesterday for the Unified Pension Scheme is very fatal, because according to the said scheme, the government wants to snatch the money of the employees and return their money and interest in the form of pension. He said that this scheme is a plan to send the employee home empty handed after retirement, this scheme will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
They raised slogans against the scheme that snatches away the hard earned money of the employees in the name of pension and said that such a scheme will be strongly opposed on a large scale. The leaders said that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab has issued a notification to restore the old pension, but the Punjab government has not yet implemented this notification. The OPS implemented by the Himachal government in its state has not caused any financial burden on the state. Therefore, the Punjab government should implement OPS in Punjab and open GPF accounts immediately.
