Garhshankar- This festival is celebrated to keep Punjabi culture and traditions alive. The program was started by the Principal of the school, Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur Ji.
The students wore colorful dresses and showed the importance of Teej through Giddha, Bhangra, folk songs and poems and Mehndi competitions were also organized. In which the students of the school demonstrated their art by applying Mehndi.
The teachers of the school also participated in the event enthusiastically and appreciated the performances of the children. In her address at the school, the Principal said that Teej is the unique identity of our Punjabi culture. We are trying to awaken cultural consciousness among the children by celebrating such festivals.
